Duties Description Maintain strict confidentiality on all PSB matters.
Handle incoming and outgoing personnel complaints as directed by the Deputy Superintendent – PSB including analysis, assignment and documentation of same. Maintain personnel complaint database.
Supervise the administrative support staff assigned to the Professional Standards Bureau at Division Headquarters and the regional offices. Assign workload, conduct training in correct procedures and review/proofread all completed material. Manage various facets of PSB Administrative operations.
Prepare correspondence, statements, administrative subpoenas, reports and forms associated with PSB operations through the use of various computer office software programs. Maintain administrative files and retention of internal documents.
Schedule appointments and meetings. Make travel arrangements for the Deputy Superintendent – PSB and other PSB staff members. Prepare travel advances and vouchers.
Answers telephone and handles inquiries regarding PSB tasks. Directs inquiries to proper staff members when necessary.
Minimum Qualifications One year of permanent service as an Administrative Assistant 1, SG-11,
OR
One year of permanent service as a State Police employee in a paraprofessional position allocated to SG-11 or higher.
Preference may be given to candidates that can demonstrate the following: 2
Strong computer system technical skills, e.g. Microsoft Word, Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and IA Pro.
Familiarity with Division organizational structure, policies and procedures.
Excellent interpersonal skills and be able to work independently following established guidelines.
Previous supervisory experience.
